There are a couple of chambered cairns in the same field, the serpent mounds tail is at the corner of the field and it snakes up to the head....believe me!!

I have been to the "serpent mound " and a similar parking difficulties but like some of the "cup markings " on the othe rside of the loch there is a perfectly natural explanation , believe me .

Wow, that is a mighty lon excavation report...Im at work so i couldnt read it properly....the serpent mound exists, and it is fantastic, its the only one in the country and thats all i can say! Ive seen it with my own eyes, there is a dolman on a mound nearby....that is not the serpent mound....off home now, have a great weekend everyone!! x
