An excellent idea but I doubt Julian has time, I don't mean that in a bad way but he IS busier than we are - why not Nigel he knows about Silbury.

<An excellent idea but I doubt Julian has time, I don't mean that in a bad way but he IS busier than we are - why not Nigel he knows about Silbury.> Yeah, but can Nigel play a double neck Fender while wearing platform boots? :-) Great Idea, Littlestone - sorry for adding to the rightward shimmy of your thread by the way - it would also be an excellent locii for the more geographically dislocated of us to mix with the more centrist and venerated elders of our little tribe. Peace Pilgrim X

Nigel does do a reasonable Elvis swivel when he is in the cereal aisle of Safeways and is trying to make it to canned goods against the cross-flow on a Saturday morning, but he can't sing ! VBB

Do you think the boots are essential? Venerated elders can choose own footwear if on feet all day surely PositiveDrive

That's a great idea Littlestone, you know we are doing the same for Thornborough. We have loads of acts signed up for it, I'm sure that the same would happen for Silbury.

Yep, just like Thornborough, you either like them or you don't.

This is a complex society, we have room for multiple priorities.

Hahaa! Well done, SBP - you've really proved yourself this time, haven't you? Oddly, the nicest thing I can think to say is "idiot"! An archaeologist that doesn't care about archaeology... "A pile of mud"... Brilliant... ;o) G x

Well I may be a cretin and I probably am to bother about replying to you. Following your line of (un) reasoning about piles of mud - it seems that you believe that archaeology is unimportant compared with African famine. Therefore, if archaeologists retrained as charity workers, drivers, medics and such - then Oxfam might employ them and they just might be doing something useful instead. You could even be a P.A. to a latrine digger.

"You could even be a P.A. to a latrine digger." and what would be the problem that? too good for you then?
