Re: Nebra sky disk on TV tonight
Jan 29, 2004, 12:34
Just a quick note to bump this back up as a reminder that the programme is on tonight, BBC2 9.00pm. The listing from the Guardian website says this-

'Horizon How a gang of grave-robbers in Germany inadvertently stumbled upon one of the most remarkable Bronze Age artefacts ever found, a small disc depicting religious imagery and astronomical information. The crooks tried to sell the piece to archaeologist Harald Meller, and were subsequently caught in a police sting, after which the disc was tested by scientists, and found not only to be genuine, but to surpass anything found in Greece or Egypt, the supposed cradle of civilisation.'
