Also on the horizon is the series of 7 x 7” singles. All 7” releases will come in a special Ochre 7” disco bag and contain inserts. It is intended that a special limited number of boxes (100) will be made available to house all seven singles in. The limited numbered boxes will only be made available to those who subscribe to the series via the Ochre mail-order. If you would like to reserve your place please send in £40.00 to Ochre Records. Price includes the limited edition box. One of the 7” singles in the series will be limited to 100 and only available to subscribers. Singles will be sent out at various stages in 2003.

The first 7” in the series will be a split from The Land of Nod and the Japanese group P.A.T.E. (Pop Art Tradition Experiment). Pate will remix The Land Of Nod track ‘Eddy’ from the forthcoming ‘Inducing The Sleep Sphere’ album whilst The Land of Nod remix ‘Shinkai Cruise’ # 2 from Pate’s excellent album on Sur La Plage ‘Mo’ Psycho’. Pate are Nobuyuki Ohashi, Genta Matsumura and Takeshi Suzuki. Nobuyuki Ohashi is also the bass player in Japanese group Cornelius.

The second 7” is from Japanese group Neil & Irazia. Neil & Irazia are a duo, Hirohisa Horie and Gakuji Matsuda. The 7” will feature the tracks ‘This Is Not A Love Song’ and ‘Oracle Noises’. Hirohisa is also the guitarist in Cornelius.

The following singles will feature a 7” where Longstone & Charles Atlas remix each other and also a 7” from the Acid Mothers Temple & Melting Paradiso U.F.O. the Japanese group led by Makoto Kawabata.

The 7" series is 7 x 7" singles. If you subscribe (there are 100 places available) you will get a box plus one of the 7" which comes only as a pressing of 100. That 7" will be from Will Sergeant and is basically the two tracks from 'Weird As Fish' that is not on the CD album on Ochre. Will has located another copy of Weird As Fish cassette that has two different tracks than that was on the one Paul Simpson found in his cellar!

The other releases in the series are available thru stores etc including one from the Acid Mothers temple which will be limited to 2000.
