Indeed. The Pop Group were an utterly unique sounding band in an era when being unique was pretty effing difficult to say the least.

I remember hearing The Pop Group on John Peel many years ago, as an airheaded art student - and, stumbled into a record shop in Stratford on Avon, the next day... and stumbled back out clutching a record by The Pop, whoever they were.
The Pop Group were a great pioneering band. They changed stuff. R.I.P.
