I'm writing a book about French "krautrock"!

Hopefully the folk on this forum are keen to learn more about the French Underground rock scene that brought us Magma, Heldon, Lard Free, etc etc….

Well, I'm hard at work writing the first book in English about the French scene from 68-78, and hoping to publish early 2024.

I've got a website up at https://french-underground.com that you might like to check out.

All the best from the Antipodes,

Great! France had my third favorite 70s scene, after W. Germany and Italy. Good luck on finishing your book, and hopefully it will bring wider attention to this still-vital music. In case you (or others) are interested, I did my own deep dive into the genre(s):

That is a DEEP dive! Excellent.

The book's half-finished, so I'm pretty confident it'll be out early 2024. Only got another 10 or so interviews to go, to add to the 40+ so far…
