Very sad news… I loved the stranglers back in the days and Jet Black was such a fine drummer.

Yes very sad indeed. He had been in ill health for a considerable time. Totally under rated drummer. The four of them were quite a unit then in their prime and he held them together well. RIP.

Yes, very sad news. Weirdly I was just watching a recent JJ Burnel interview when the news came through. He was saying what a continuing vital presence Jet had in the band despite not drumming any more.
The good news is I've started another early Stranglers revision and taking note of those incredibly tight drum rolls and massive underpinning that Jet effortlessly displayed.
