Wake Playlist --- Wakelist
Nov 30, 2022, 06:48
Recently grappling with the reaper has inspired me to create my Wake Playlist---or Wakelist (patent pending). While trying not to give too much space to any one artist, Cope figures highly. "Me Singing," natch. "You Will Be Mist," despite being so on-the-nose for a mortal setting. Something from Jehovakill should be there: maybe "Upwards at 45 Degrees." I'm trying to present a list that presents some insights into my life and/or would sound good while contemplating my passing. I'm trying to avoid overly bitter/angry songs, which rules out some brilliance from The Cure, Nick Cave, et al.

Part of the fun is balancing the great music, the relevant music, and figuring out just what this wakelist is supposed to be. Comments on my list (bearing in mind that it is still in progress), as well as lists of your own, are welcome. In other words:

"Speak as though you will be mist."
