What was the earliest that that cropped up? (Off the top of my head, I think the line "With a tacky sense of humour/and a true sense of the moment" from "Don't Call Me Mark Chapman." Back in 1994, during the first couipla play, it always startled the hell out of me.)



Yes, I suppose he has been doing that for a while. EE certainly pulls out the 90s Cope vibe all over the place that I hear. The bass lines especially remind me of 20 Mothers. I should really spin Drunken and Self Civil again, as those did not excite me initially. Truly Cope has yet to put out an inferior album, and returning listens certainly pay dividends.
