Sat down and watched this last night on the not-dumb tv. Odd how its edited as though the real soundtrack included all the live actions and interviews, but I guess he decided to nix that idea and plough the whole thing with BS tracks.

If you had no clue what was happening, you would truly be lost watching this, but knowing the back story, it was still a nice thing to watch. Thanks to the intrepid tuber who uploaded. Maybe one day we'll get to see the "real version".

A question for those who were at the Copendium shows, where Fido's Blues was screened...did it contain the same dialogue-free soundtrack as this YouTube version?

Thanks for that, never saw it before! It's a great clip, and would have been quite a happening to stumble into / experience on a Liverpool street. But from it, I kind of understand Cope's decision to use studio versions of the songs in the film, as they carry more trance-like power. Ideally, he could have released both, with the unedited material as bonus footage.
