Psychedelic Furs - S/T, Forever Now

Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks 64-71

The Rude Mechanicals - The Cyclops and the Wildebeest

Sisters of Mercy - First and Last and Always

Eric Satie - Piano Works

Six by Seven - The Things we make. Not quite as good as I recalled

Roxy Music - S/T, For Your Pleasure

Ursula Rucker - Silver or Lead. I do find her a bit much at times - quite intense. But then I'm as changeable and mercurial as the proverbial.

Lou Reed - Coney Island Baby. It sounds like Lou Reed, but quite underwhelming

Roni Size - New Forms. Particularly enjoyed this from the list this week.

Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge over Troubled Water

Sonic Youth - Dirty

Rough Trade Shops - Psych Folk Vol10

Splash Girl – Sixth Sense. Scandinavian avant jazz/prog/psych, you know the score. This has a bit of an ‘80s ambient rock vibe to it too, with Talk Talk inevitably coming up (at least for me) as a reference. https://soundcloud.com/hubro/splashgirl-half-self-from-the-upcoming-album-sixth-sense

Ola Kvernberg – Steamdome. More of the same, only this is a more of a dramatic/proggy/soundtrack-to-an-imaginary-film kind of thing. Verges on being a little naff in places, like the music to a documentary about the Vikings on BBC2, but some great playing nevertheless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFJVz42hrkw

Ryley Walker – Deafman Glance. Definitely more engaging on second listen.

Temple – s/t. Heathen!
