To answer your original question ... Really hard to choose one solo album as I am a massive Luke Haines fan. Probably, I would go for The North Sea Scrolls (although this one is really a collaboration), closely followed by British Nuclear Bunkers and Off My Rocker at the Art School Bop. Would also have to give an honourable mention to Freqs, the entirely instrumental Moog album that came with Electronic Sound magazine a year or so ago.

My all time favourite Luke Haines work would still have to be New Wave though.
