I was at that show too - didn't realise at the time that it would be the last chance I'd get to see them, obviously. Also saw him play solo (twice) and with Nova Mob (once).

From a musical point of view it's particularly sad that he had to go now, since his last solo album was a belter and he seemed to be on an artistic upturn. Apparently he'd been battling cancer for some time now - which makes me wonder if he pulled out all the stops for "The Argument" knowing it'd be the last record he'd ever make. With hindsight some of it could be read as the musical equivalent of a last will and testament - but of course that's just idle speculation. R.I.P.
