Just read through that thread, agree with a lot of the suggestions, the Moody Blues were very psychedelic i always thought, On The Threshold Of A Dream particularly. I get what they were saying about some sixties bands not sounding particularly trippy, for me psychedelic means the music is really taking you somewhere, or creates a groove or feeling that ties your head up trying to work out whats going on. Dont Stop by The Stone Roses does that for me, something about the way it ebbs and flows with the backwards bits and what not, just does it for me!

'Most psychedelic'? As opposed, or supplemental, to best, or indeed favourite, psychedelic albums? Okay, I'll bite.. I'd say that for me 'The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn' is probably, today, my fave psych album, and I'd be tempted to say the best. However I'll admit that since my first hearing of it coincided with my first acid trip, at the tender age of 14, my viewpoint is bound to be subjective. If we're going to go for 'most psychedelic' as a definition, referring back to the term's (I believe Greek?) derivation, meaning 'mind-manifesting', then I'd have to say that Blackpool's mighty Ceramic Hobs pretty much have it nailed on 'Psychiatric Underground', 'Shergar Is Home Safe And Well' and particularly the classic 'Straight Outta Rampton'.
