Sad news, if not unexpected. Sounds of the Sixties on Radio 2 is a dead duck without him- the one-two punch of it being moved to 6am on Saturday mornings and its mutation into the Tony Blackburn Show (with a far more conservative playlist than it used to have) has killed it for me.

Agreed - Saturday mornings will never be the same. The BBC seem to be playing some weird killing-off two for the price of one game in handing the show to Tony Blackburn and rescheduling it for 6am.
