A lost classic of fuzzed out harmony pop (yes POP) - Neil Young, Badfinger, Big Star all wrapped up in a scuzzy Glasgae overcoat. What the fuck is not to like? And...... given the attention and hype surrounding Definitely Maybe, why weren't the Fannies the biggest band on the planet then?
OK, they didn't have a gobby singer but they had a crazy drummer!

A license to buy a 12 string guitar is always good in my book. Grand Prix was an amazing thing too. As far as I remember there was a collosal fuck up with MTV or summit like that.

My label-mates. I still love Catholic Education.
Toured Europe with them and can honestly say they were all lovely, well brought up lads, although Brendan was indeed very rock and roll.
I'd say they were different, rather than better, than Vaselines and Pastels (and they've all been in bands with each other anyway).
