Not the CSNY song. But, one by an australian band from the mid-80s. Just remembered it. Thought it was The Church. But, looking through their discography, it seems not. Anyone help?

Black Sabbath (RJ Dio version) have a song called "The Sign of the Southern Cross" which features one of the most gigantic, crushing riffs in the known universe.
I expect that doesn't help much...

I know there was a compilation called 'Beyond The Southern Cross' that Peel played tracks from. Antipodean indie I think.
Title has me thinking Triffids for some reason too.
