Yep. A really good doc. I've seen Nick Cave live about 10 times before, but £65 for a ticket is just taking the piss. I did pay £70 to see Neil Young at Hammersmith, but that was special. Any chance they could keep the prices down?

I'm going to see SWANS in a few weeks at The Roundhouse. £25 is a reasonable fare. Not only are we priced out of housing in London, we are priced out of gigs too.

I saw it as a local cinema link up with the Barbican launch/release.
Have wondered if any of the live stuff from that night made it onto the dvd as extras.
Slightly surprised it has made it to Film4 so fast. Can't remember exactly when it launched last year, feels like 6 months. Did it get a full cinema release?
Or am I missing Film4 input in its making anyway?

It did get a full cinema release. Film 4 stuff usually gets put on the telly pretty quickly, especially niche docs like 20,000 Days On Earth.

Film4 had input and that usually gets it on the box within a few months

Right, thanks. Wasn't sure when I asked that, think I have looked at IMDB about it since. THought I might have seen the credit at the end of the film.

Do wonder if any of that interesting stuff that was live on the launch night got preserved anywhere. Interviews with cave & the filmmakers and some live songs and I think another couple of things. Think there was an extra car interview thing but not sure.
