Not sure if anyone in the UK has heard of this remarkable woman and her music, but you would be greatly rewarded by checking her out on this date. Look up some clips, but know that seeing her perform in person is essential to experiencing her music.

I saw her a few months ago, performing a soundtrack to "Nanook of the North". Totally mesmerizing.

Very intense. Seeing her live is a whole other experience. Not sure when I'll see her again, but I would HIGHLY recommend anyone not to miss an opportunity to see her show.
