Nick Cave has a new book out on April 8th. It's a collection of observations he wrote on the backs of airplane sickbags hence the title The Sick Bag Song.
I think the book includes some conjecture on the medium he has chosen to write on among other things.
It also seems to include some mention of him having to dye his hair black which leaves me wondering what his natural hair colour is since that isn't the first time I've seen reference to that.
Anyway, presumably ought to be an interesting read. Most of his stuff has been. Do wish he'd write something that was more of a memoir still.
Barney Hoskyns the writer gets a bit cynical about him during the article. He's also written some other worthwhile stuff, used to be an NME scribe in the early to mid 80s.

Was wondering if it was that but I thought I'd seen mention of him doing it when he was younger too.

He"s always dyed it black; must have to do his eyebrows too; ooh & his moustache sported during first Grinderman stuff.

There was a feature of Nick Cave in Berlin in the 80's on that Artsnight programme on BBC2, Friday 11.05. Curated by some German dude with a Berlin theme running throughout
