After Hours. They gave Moe a song! And it is totally she. I doubt this could ever be replicated. Fantastic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MPnZ3AOlto http://www.theguardian.com/music/2013/dec/15/lou-reed-moe-tucker-obituary

Actually Lou let her sing two songs. 'I'm Sticking With You' which was an outtake from the Loaded sessions...

That got pretty big for awhile by being used in some advert. It's a shame Moe became a fanatical member of the Tea Party. I guess their whole philosophy is pretty close to closing the door and making the night last forever.

I used remember my sisters ex singing that song with 16 people in the back of a Ford Cortina. They got divorced a year later. Not a happy sound in the end. A great song though, when it works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bs0Cc2NnsRU

Yeah from what I've heard Moe has been posting super hateful stuff on Facebook including the laughable theory that Obama is a secret Muslim. Ugh! I just hate it when fave musos turn to ugly right wing politics. Maybe Moe wants to jam with Ted Nugent, and she can have him at that rate...

Ted does hate Nazis. He's just excitable and a bit confused by the term liberal democracy. That it means a society where the rights of an individual are enshrined in law regardless of social standing is a revelation to people who count themselves Tea Party members. That this notion is being obscured and is under attack from a multitude of directions without millions taking to the streets in its defense is mystifying to me. If I was more conspiracy minded I would consider that China is proof that, contrary to 20th Century political theory, capitalism is not joined at the hip to democracy. Rights are bad for business. Tea Party and Ukip most resemble turkeys voting for Christmas. All Ted's genius is concentrated in his fingertips.

Amen to that. It has become a dirty word to left and right and blamed for many problems that are beyond its scope in a global Corporatist stitch-up. Not that this is new. I remember my o-level economics teacher (this pre Thatcher and not long after the three day week) gloomily predicting the death of capitalism as a vigorous force at the hands of an international Labour movement let in the back door by careless liberals.

As political as I am, what has all this got to do with a great song which was written by Lou Reed? Of course Moe Tucker kinda turned into a right wing ass, but the fact remains that it's a great song. Lou Reed said it was far too sensitive for him to sing. He was right.
