I know it's ok to talk about old bands here, so I shall. I go back to this lot pretty much every week. Marvellous! The Only Fun In Town! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fj04IYrFbY8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzGJ8iOHeyQ

One of my favourites. Art school spikiness at its apex. I love that the liner notes- by Simon Reynolds?- said they were the best pop band beginning with a J after Jackson five. Czech out The June Brides, too, if you haven't. They came shortly afterwards and were likely Josef's biggest fans. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fdESbByXxNo

Not a fan of June Brides, although I realise the pop aspect. I have a project at work at the moment which is probably gonna kill me again! Lots of musical talent that needs to be honed and slightly educated! I can(t) help myself or other! Superb. OJ - Edwyn put the funk into punk! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGA-DqAKIKI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbPSaHCDIpY

Love Heart of Song - great loose groove to that track. Also love this video featuring the blob in glorious technicolor... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VzcWv8qKQw

I love Josef K (and Orange Juice). I think A Certain Ratio may have funk into punk though :)

Actually, one can still buy 'The Only Fun In Town/Sorry For Laughing' at a considerably different and a bloody cheaper price than I paid for it! Worth every penny though.
