I know!, that's dedication to a cause.
Kinda fits in with Dave Clarksons 'bespoke'thread about editiing your fav' bits of a record into a new form.
Could it be considered a conceptial art piece? I think so!
Stick it in Tate Modern. Better than half the crap I've visited there over the years.
Feel dafy writing this, but hearing his voice again brought a lump to me throat (though I do have the flu at present). I miss the old duffer, no one has quite managed to fill his shoes on the radio for me. Even BBC6 is a bit beige for me. Gonna have to go a dig out me old Peel tapes now for a bit of a fix.

Prepare for more lumps.....
In October I was invited to compere a John Peel night in Brighton - featuring The Cravats, Vic Godard & Subway Sect and The Fallen Leaves. I'd interviewed Peel in 1988 for a fanzine - and before October I hadn't even played the tape to my partner. I offered to digitise some excerpts and have them play just before the bands. The day after I shoved them on soundcloud - and here they are. This was for "Turtle Breeder" fanzine - recorded in the Radio 1 typing pool on 9 November 1988 - during the unpopular time when Peelie was on 8:30 - 10:30 for three days a week.....

I met Peelie once at one of his John Peel Roadshows and DJ'ing stuff at QMU at Glasgow University many moons ago. I asked him to play 'Release The Bats' by the Birthday Party, and he duly did. Regarding his The Fall obsession, all The Fall Peel sessions are quite superb.
