Yes, very sad for him and his family as well as those of us who wallowed in his filthy riffs.

In the 80's Malcolm played a huge white guitar (the six-stringers around here will know what it was) and it looked like he had a double bass strapped around him.

I hope Stevie Young can step up, but it will never be quite the same again.

I believe Stevie Young deputised for Malcolm on a tour in the 80's when Mal was a bit too 'tired and emotional' to play.

Can't imagine just how weird it will feel to Angus and the others though.

Think it was a Gretsch and yes, he looked like he was hiding behind it.
