starting to explore some more of the back catalogue of Jah Wobble. He was very entertaining on Cerys Matthews' show a week ago, and was also on Clive Anderson's Loose Ends programme. So I thought I would explore. So far Alpha One Three hasn't made much of an impression, but last years' Anomic has been more favourable so far (with Marconi Union) Been playing Swans - My Father will Lead me up a Rope to the Sky quiet a bit. REM - Out of time Sons of the Sludge - Ancients It would seem that I haven't listened to much this week...

OK, they wear their influences on their sleeve, but they do it so well, and the record is one of those great life affirming sonic blasts like Boredoms Vision Creation New Sun album. Roehre - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrOfTbmLsDw Synchron -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dhOJOYYnS88 Camera, Michael Rother & Dieter Mobius October 2011 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrPaWOhknro I saw Camera play with Rother last year. They were great! I've been meaning to check their own stuff out.

Wobbles Deep Space albums are great if you like the sub bass stuff - very axiom / bill laswell/ scorn/ miles Davis type stuff. '5 beat' is a great album - think its available via 20 hertz

They were touring the UK last/this week but totally managed to overlook it till it was too late (plus, they didn't really come anywhere near where I live). Bet they were great live, Imagine it'd be like a Boredoms gig, life affirming. Off the top of my head, they've only 2 albums, '..Carbon Dioxide' and 'Radiate'. Both awesome albums in my opinion. As I stated above, both records highly derivative, but they really do do it so well, I can overlook that shortcoming. Oh there's a 12" called '... Soleil' which is also worth hearing. Will punt you the files so you can try before you buy. At least I get to see The Phantom Band this evening, they were great last time, here's hoping they are as good tonight.

What he said. Can especially recommend Radioaxiom - A Dub Transmission with Bill Laswell. Few tasters here...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgsttLMzb84 Also, really enjoyed Jah Wobble 'The Inspiration of William Blake' as well as Jah Wobbles Invaders of the Heart - Rising Above Bedlam album.
