Moonie, totally unrelated to your post, but check out the new Priest album, it's their best in a long time.

This week's big repeaters (apart from a veggie curry I had on Tuesday):

Richard Maxfield/Harold Budd - The Oak of the Golden Dreams

Bought principally because I do like a bit of Harold. These are his earliest recorded compositions from 1969/70, together with four early-1960s pieces by experimental modern composer Maxfield. The first of the Budd tracks, the title track for the CD, is a long piece of electronic bubbliness. I think (cautiously) it would appeal to those who like No Pussyfootin'. But don't hold me to that!

Sparks - Kimon My House

Can't really go wrong with this, it hasn't dated too badly at all and the tunes are irresistable.

Otherwise:

Eno - Here Come The Warm Jets
The Jam - Peel Session 2.5.1977
Buzzcocks - Peel Session 19.9.1977
Joe Gibbs and the Professionals - African Dub Chapter Three

A Certain Ratio - Early
Laurie Anderson - "O Superman" 7"
A Certain Ratio - "Brazilia" 12"
The The - Soul Mining
Pet Shop Boys - Introspective

A Certain Ratio - "Won't Stop Loving You" CD single

Morrissey - World Peace Is None Of Your Business
CTMF - "He Wore A Pagan Robe" 7"

Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans
I don't think I'll ever get tired of this.

Some lovely stuff on this. The first side features some interesting recordings with Yehudi Menuhin.

All the above inspired by Squidling the Elder's recent listening.

Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

One of the best jazz albums I've heard in years.
