Felix Cavaliere - I am free

Even though Cavaliere's first solo album was produced by Todd Rundgren it is rather crappy AOR with a high cheese factor imho. But there is one track buried at the end of side B, "I am free" - what a sucker! Nasty fuzz wah and moog madness at its finest. Have to admit that I am not that familiar with the Rascals catalogue or any of Caveliere's other releases, but I am pretty sure there isn't anything comparable.

Do you know any other artists who recorded just ONE awesome track? I do not mean one hit wonders. Rather think of mainstream artists who took one single journey into weirdo land.
