Saw him supporting Midlake a few years back... I think there is a connection there in that they were his backing band on his first album

How 'dissapointing'. Not really. I quite enjoyed Richard Hawley's showending song too, which I was surprised at as I thought his new stuff was a bit meh compared to the edge of standing at the sky's edge

I've encountered him. OK bloke, affable, heart in right place. Being a Sheffielder I like his choices of album titles... I know Hollow Meadows, what there is of the place.. I always wonder where next

And he's just delivered a baby in Richmond Park, biting umbilical cords and licking babies' faces. I'm sure he'll get a few songs out of that!
