Neneh Cherry and The Thing - The Cherry Thing Got this after reading Daniel Spicer's article about Mats Gustafsson in The Wire. Nice album, I love Gustafsson's tone. Dan Friel - Total Folklore Bloody brilliant! Bouncing, exhuberant and joyful noise-stomps. Makes me grin like a loon. Patti Smith - Banga Took me a while to get round to this, but I'm glad I did. Wondrous stuff - more melodic than usual for Patti, and some superb songs. Yes - Time and a Word John Martyn In Session Argent - Encore Wings Over America (why isn't this out on CD???) Goat - World Music (and Teeth of the Sea's epic remix of Run To Your Mama) Rites Wild - Ways of Being Anthroprophh - S/T Arboretum - Coming Out of the Fog Eno - Taking Tiger Mountain, Warm Jets Neil Young - Psychedelic Pill Lumerians - Horizon Structures Mugstar - Axis ZZ Top - La Futura This is much better than I expected - rough edged and raw, it rocks. The Cosmic Dead - Psychonaut (fab live recording - http://thecosmicdead.bandcamp.com/album/psychonaut) The Holydrug Couple - En Vivo EP http://theholydrugcouple.bandcamp.com/album/en-vivo-ep-radio-horizonte Fungal Abyss - Bardo Abgrund Temple http://fungalabyss.bandcamp.com/ Kemper Norton - Unrequited Vols 1-3 http://kempernorton.bandcamp.com/ I can imagine this appealing to a whole bunch of you lot - check 'em out. Mountains - Centralia Still a beautiful thing. Best late night album in yonks. Follakzoid - II Finally got a working copy on vinyl. Great stuff. Gnod Presents Dwellings and Druss, Mental Power, 5th Sun 7" I think Gnod are easily my favourite band of recent times. i love everything they do. Also really enjoying all the Tesla Tape releases Gnod have put out: http://teslatapes.bandcamp.com/ Thought Forms - Ghost Mountain Fabulous album. Mixes a number of genres, doomy rocky shoe-gazey stuff. There is one track which makes me think of partched deserts and pyramids. Happy listening Trip Heads!
