Soundtrack of our lives, January 2nd 2011

Well right now I'm listening to Patti Smith's Wave album -- kinda bit slick in the production department. Was prompted to dig this out when (believe it or not) Philip Best of Whitehouse infamy posted on FB Patti's excellent performance of "You Light Up My Life" on a kid's TV show(!)

Which leads to the Grudge For Life album by Ramleh. I'm sure that record hasn't been reissued -- it came out on an obscure Japanese label around 1989 or so, but it was the first rock-oriented Ramleh album and first to feature Philip Best on vocals. I tend to think it's their best, of course...

Only other thing I played was Desolation Boulevard by Sweet.
