my favourite bit is the song that goes 'with a red red flag for a souvinir' at the end can't remember its name off hand i must go and have a listen too..... i'm getting 'pillar to post' in my head now! I might get my orange juice lp out too the one with 'falling and laughing' on it and 'in a nut shell' same era pretty much (can't remember its name either) love carolinexx

weld is guilty pleasure? why? Neil Young doesn't need rehabilitation or anything he's known to be a cool artist. I dunno how much of any of this is guilty pleasure stuff at all. seems like most stuff thats been listed is ok pop stuff. I like Bow Wow Wow, Richard Harris etc Budgie? BOA? Stevo

oh yeah forgot one that most might think fit the category Octopus by Gentle GIant. seems like a way over the top rendition of a Beatlesy pop record but it still keeps to jazzy tunes even if instrumental parts are split up between more instruments than most people would stevo

Guilty pleasure because I spent my formative years decrying him as a "hippy", and only really bothered to listen to him when I was in my 20s, so the guilt is for being young and stupid, and the pleasure is because "Weld" is sooo good!!

'you can't hide your love forever' was the orange juice lp i was thinking off great stuff! I was in love more with roddy frame than i was with edwyn colins at the time! I was just reading the lyrics of high land hard rain so many memories come flooding back (the red flag song is 'release') the big drunken excitment of new adventures and meloncholy angst of youth(along of course with the 'revolution' that maybe did happen in a little quiet way)! ;) love carolinexx
