4 Be 2 - One Of The Lads -12" They were always known as 'The 4 be 2s', a simple but great trio of tracks from 1979 featuring Jimmy Lydon (John's younger brother). The tracks always seemed to sit well amongst other 'post-punk' tracks when you'd make those comp. cassettes for your mates or for parties many moons ago. The longer Dub version came into my head the other day, my vinyl copy long gone/lost. I found the tracks here.... http://geranium-rollmops.blogspot.com/2008/01/4-be-2-one-of-lads-12-1979.html Coil - Queens Of The Circulating Library Great deep listening and featuring Thighpaulsandra's Mam! Can - Future Days The sound of summer to compensate for a dark winter! Thuja - Pine Cone Temples Excellent recording combining acoustic instruments, location recordings etc., I would recommend any of their releases if you like a different and more organic take on the 'ambient' side of things. Faust - 71 Minutes An unsung collection. The Fall - Palace Of Swords Reversed One of the earlier Fall comps of early 80s material- nice and compact too. Slade - Slade Alive! Stomptastic! Herbie Hancock - Crossings Featuring Arps, Moogs and Mellotrons- "nice" ;-)

ONLY KIDDIN YA A valid point and I know my lists are long but I have music playing from the moment I wake up until I drift off. I'm in my car most of the day for work and listen to my CDs there too. Actually a list of everything I listen to in a given week and not including things on heavy rotation would be much longer. Music is a very important component to my life. My football team, the Chicago Bears, play tonight and rather than listen to the insufferable commentators I will have tunes playing.
