^Well if the discs end up coming out individually, that'd work for me. It'd probably end up costing more when all added up and wouldn't have the no doubt fantastic and lovely box and book. But at least I'd be able to get the music...
As for Demonoid, I am not a member. But something like that will probably have to tide me over. I have Neils ARCHIVES (awesome -- can't wait for Vol. 2), most of the Miles boxes (I think I'm just missing two) and there's a rumour that the FUNHOUSE box will be reissued. I'd probably spring for that, too, as I only have mp3's of that one...
Still, purchasing the Elevators box would be my preference. I guess my point is that I'd rather pay the label (and hence the band and folks responsible) for it than someone on eBay of get it free but in lower quality. And since there is interest on Ebay, I'm sure folks would rather pay less and get a reissue right from the source. But without that option, your suggestion is certainly as valid as any. A-searching I will go...

the torrents and downloads have stopped most reggae reissues,
because the numbers are so small, Auralux, Motion, etc can't make their costs, let alone profit

^Sad about the reggae labels. I just started a thread about the similar fate of The Residents record label. Although I've downloaded my fair share of live music, I try to buy stuff when it's available that way. Unfortunately, when stuff is limited and sells out quickly and then fetches "collectors" prices almost immediately, torrenting becomes the better option -- the labels and bands aren't getting the money anyway so why spend any?...

It's up in WAV BTW. I assume there is some level of loss but only nominally.
I'd think the main thing you're losing that way is the packaging.
With the Funhouse box reissue, I wouldn't be that surprised after it seems their Fugs set has been. I saw that they had WAV downloads of the Fugs tracks on the Rhino Handmade site & was looking for an opportunity to ask how frequent that was since I think I've only really seen MP3s as d/lds in that way before.

^Thanks for the tip. I am grabbing a FLAC torrent to tide me over until this thing gets reissued or the discs get released individually. I hope it is what it says it is! And with any luck, it'll include some scans...
