First part was fairly interesting, next week they get plugged in. I liked the American luthier, explaining his art: You get a good piece of wood and cut away everything that doesn’t look like a guitar. And amazing how recent their popularity is, the shape we are familiar with now is only 200 years old. And when Bert Weedon bought his first guitar in Petticote Lane in the thirties people said to him, What’s a guitar? They were that uncommon.

that was indeed a good programme. I had no idea the geezer from circulus was either so knowledgable or so dextrous. Also nice to hear about clapton being made to wait ten years for a guitar.

Twas quite good. Yeah, I liked the Circulus dude's collection of weird and wonderful string things. Looking forward to the next, electric instalment.
