I apologize in advance if this topic has been covered before at the boards since I just joined last week. But anyway here are some of my personal
faves (I must warn you there will be a few cheesy ones on my list):

Hot Butter - Popcorn
Tubular Bells - Mike Oldfield (from The Exorcist)
TSOP - The Sound of Philadelphia (aka theme from Soul Train)
Theme from Rockford Files - Mike Post
disco theme from Star Wars - Meco (has a lot of great sound effects on it though)
Chariots of Fire - Vangelis
Rise - Herb Alpert
Feels so Good - Chuck Mangione
Oh Yeah - Yello
theme from Peter Gunn - Duane Eddy and The Art of Noise
