Journalism eh? I once got interviewed in our local HMV, the new Oasis album was playing and they asked if I liked it (this must have been the third one). I explained at length that, although it was unlikely to alienate any of their existing fans it wasn;t going to win any new ones, how it just seemed to be going over old ground and, if they really wanted to be the explorers suggested by their choice of heroes they were going to have to have a good long think and come up with some new ideas. I may have even mentioned how the whole Britpop thing, in some ways, was a huge blow to guitar music in the way it created a mainstream to conform to.

I think I was quoted as saying "It's pretty good, but I probably won't buy it"
