Yeah, admittedly the two friends I saw them with left the gig with a completely different opinion from mine - I was favourably pre-disposed towards them, but just found them underwhelming. I preferred Six Organs of Admittance's last album for the kind of organic folksiness you;re talking about - but then I wasn't as into "Avatar" as "Blue Cathedral" either, maybe because of having heard so much prog metal riffage emanating from my elder brother's bedroom as a kiddie.
