Not really -- what's "old fashioned" today was "current" in the past, by definition. Once upon a time people really believed "music could change the world", but we're far too realistic for that kind of thinking these days.

What I was saying was old fashioned 30 years ago was a band saying things like "long live rock" or "rock and roll will never die".
* Whilst less likely I think it still can change certain things given the right circumstances.
