Does anyone know why there would be bad blood between Stones and Zep. In'70-73 both these bands would have been at their peaks tour wise.
There had to be some crossing of paths.

Maybe the Stones felt threatened by the all-conquering Zep as top dogs in the US and so decided to get the handbags out, especially if their internal harmony was a bit fragile.

the Stones are hacks that didn't know when to hang it up (Black and Blue in 75-ish comes to mind).
Rock song after boring rock song...Zep had fun playing with styles and kept challenging the rock term...
The stones are a glorified bar band
Seems Keef is jealous
Zep- buy all their cds
Stones- get Hot Rocks and yer set
Wyman was the smart one
