I'll be forever grateful to him for Two Sevens Clash alone let alone his productions with other artists. A colossus of the Jamaican music scene sadly departed. RIP Joe.

Good call, Prince Far-I's Under Heavy Manners is another favourite. It seems The Clash were more influential to me than i thought !

That's sad. Always loved the African Dub albums, especially 3 and 4.

Sad news, Joe Gibbs will be much missed. His groundbreaking 1978 album African Dub All-Mighty Chapter 3 is, was and always will be the saviour of many a lost soul. I wanna dub you, dub you always, there ain’t nobody else…..

His was a heavily dropped name in 77. Thanks for the African Dub series and Big Youth's Everyday Skank and Two sevens clash. R.I.P.

Very sad indeed, a young age these days too I had a comp in the late 70s called 'Melodica Melodies' which had some fantastic JG tracks on it The 'African Dub Almighty' series was great stuff too R.I.P.
