Interesting premise, make available, classic masters of classic albums/bands so we can play with them ourselves.
I can't imagine this actually happening.
They talk as though they are actually doing this, but there is no product yet...

I seem to remember Todd Rundgren did something along those lines a while back - he released an album under the name TR-I in which he uploaded all the tracks so that listeners could mix the albums themselves.
I've been doing something similar in my spare time with the Beach Boys' lost "Smile" masterpiece - editing together a mix of the finished parts of the old recordings with bits of the 2004 version and mixing it all down to mono to make it sound as seamless as possible. Anal, I know, but that's the one piece of music capable of inspiring that degree of geekery in me.
