I gave up buying it yonks ago. But as a mag addict I do get - perhaps disproportionately - upset whenever one hits the deck. I really don't buy into calims that the web is taking over from magazines, for reasons that should be obvious, but if not, then that I can't be bothered to go into.

Ironically, this comes at a time when grass roots alt.country and Americana in the UK - if that's not an anomaly - is on the upswing.

Perhaps ND readers feeling the loss should move over to Rock'n'Reel instead?!

it's sad news.

I guess the peak of the 'zine was in 96 when Wilco released "Being There'!
