Holy shite, someone else has actually heard of and even owns some Rheostatics on this board. Best live shows I've ever seen, too bad they're 'retired' now, but I got to see a week of shows here in Calgary couple years back. Good on you.

I don't really collect bootlegs, so I'm limited to legit records and therefore only the most prolific artists:

Miles Davis

Frank Zappa

John Coltrane ("Live in Japan" is more than 4 hours by itself)

Neil Young

Sonic Youth

Close but not quite:

Rahsaan Roland Kirk

Melvins

Tom Jones (have at least 20 albums, but they're only about 30 minutes apiece)

Stereolab (I've got everly CD and even most of the b-sides and tour singles -- still doesn't add up to 24 hours!)

The Guess Who (got almost everything, even Burton solo albums, and it's still not 24 hours)

(For that matter, I've got just about every legit recording by The Who up to about 1982 and I don't think that's 24 hours either. Nor Floyd, unless you collect bootlegs or double-count box sets.)

I wish Sly Stone & Mission of Burma had recorded 24 hours of music!

My dad says he can beat you with one hand tied behind his back!
Really he just means running away I think.

The Fall, of course. Could probably play 24 hours without any live/bootleg versions thrown in at all.

If you allow bootlegs and the various phases of the man's career I can add Nick Cave to that list.

Bob Dylan (though I don't have most of it anymore.)

Julian, Stereolab, Can, Faust, The Damned and the Beatles (of course, this all relies on boots and live sets to fill in the whole 24).
