ah, now I see Keith had already mentioned Pete Wylies brother. You were 11 - hee, you young whipper-snapper! ;oP I loved them too but was, ahem, a bit older. Hey - you had good taste for an 11 year old! You must've been under those bed covers with the radio for years! (We all did it, but not at that age)...

Er, are you saying you have it on CD? If so, yes please! If so, I can't understand how you managed that.

Noo shuffles off in a non-techno stylee.

Yes, I have - and it's a fine read. In fact, it inspired an en-masse purchase of the entire Brinsleys' back catalogue a couple of years ago. The BGO twofer packages are marvellous, by the way: Brinsleys' fans have never had it so good.

Did you get the cd reissue? Was thinking about it since lps been somewhere on my to buy list for years, probably since finding the review in one of my elder bro's early 80s NMEs.Haven't got around to it yet though.
Is it neccessary or contingent?

"Red" era Crimson. Fripp, Bruford, Wetton and whoever on saxes / oboe etc.

That would be great, but IMHO would be even better the 'Lark's Tongues' lineup with Cross and Muir.

It's have to be the bloke who replaced McGeoch, mind. Though he did a very good job of copying JM's style on Play to be fair. I was listening to it a few years ago and completely forgot it wasn't JM on it.

Wasn't that the same guy who replaced Steve Shears on Ultravox!? Did he do anything else?

I saw him play in a line-up of PIL.

EDIT: Oops, sorry. I thought you were talking about John McGeoch. Then read your post again. Duhh...
