Just remembered a play I saw a few years ago, 'The Night Heron' at The Royal Court. I remember the piece begins with a real powerful scene of an old guy preparing the noose on a high beam whilst reciting passages of the old testament. Visually it was tense and troubling as he prepared to commit suicide but I remember also how powerful the verses were as he spat them out like a demented preacher. Would be a great addition if it were available.
The play was superb, especially Ray Winstone.
