...And I think it's every bit as amazing as "Jehovahkill." Mind you, it doesn't sound like it -- except for maybe "Necropolis" "The Death And Resurrection Show" is a few steps further out into the beyond than even "Messages", and that's saying something Not a single track to skip over (even the "boneyard") I dare ya to listen to it and not be moved...it's magnificent. Honest.

oh yeah, i wonder if that is a reference to the Rogan Taylor book (Death and resurrection show). Where's Tombo when you need him?

I liked it a lot, but there were more than a few disappointed people. Dark Orgasm is the new album from Julian Cope and will stand or fall on what it is. Citizen Cain'd had been promised for so long that it would have to have been the parent, twin and offspring of World Shut Your Fried St. Peggyovahkill to live up to it's billing. If it had come out when it was first spoken of (1999? 2000?), I think it would have been a much diffrerent album than what eventually surfaced. Different in sound and in track selection, as many of the songs that might have made an earlier version surfaced on An Audience With The Cope and Rome Wasn't Burned In A Day. What I heard of the new stuff at the BD gig in Bristol sounded good to me and the Citizen Cain'd material performed live on the last tour stood up just fine.

There's a lot to like on CC. A lot to go "hmm" at. I think the fact that it was the first 'proper' album in years was the problem. (In the way that rome and audience aren't proper)
