Re: Coldplay
Jun 25, 2005, 21:00
Ah the good old days, eh Earl. I do sometimes have to step back in case I'm getting to old and missing something. But when my contemparies, in age only, are going to see U2 and raving about Coldplay I know somethings gone wrong. Ten/twenty years ago these people were not interested in music. Developing a taste in music takes work, much of today's music is been sold as a disposable commodity.

I know I get on my high horse sometimes, but I feel strongly about this and I don't want to see music destroyed by greedheads. Just look at what they've done to Glastonbury - you can hire a Winnebago for £6000 and live in luxury for the weekend. Surely that's not what the spirit of these festivals is about, is it?

Or maybe I'm just getting old - ah fuck it I'm off to listen to some ELO, Concerto for a Rainy Day, I think.
