I recall the Go stuff from the mid-late 70s. Actually, it was quite good; definitely something that edged toward fusion, but not in a cheezy, mawkish sort of way. Those three, plus Al diMeola and Klaus Schulze...according to the stories, the personal chemistry was sort of strained, but the musical results were really 'on'.
Stomu Yamashta's "Red Buddha" stuff is also quite nifty...IF you can find it!

(Michael) Shrieve is doing a cool project here in Seattle now called "Tangletown" with second drum (machine) Kevin Sawka, upright bass genius James Whiton, and about 6 or 8 other guys... It doesn't change my life when I hear them, but it's a great showcase for a bunch of hypertalented dudes
