A sad day indeed. His services to "proper"music are immeasureable. The Doyen of Djs,this man retained his sense of self throughout his long career, and never succumbed to the snobbery that pervades large parts of the music industry . So many people and bands have benefitted from John Peels uniqueness. This is a major loss.
