Sounds like it could be Tom Hark by The Piranhas, if it's not that, i haven't got a clue, sorry...

Yup! It's "Tom Hark" for sure-

Strange but True- whenever that record was played (at the time it was in the charts), in whatever town we used to be in- it always seemed to kick off- I heard it a few weeks back in a pub and nearly did a commando-roll under the table and out the door... Daft but fitting lyrics under the circumstances!

They were from Brighton and they weren't a mod band, they did that Zambezi track as well.

Aye...Tom Hark the tune is older than The Piranhas version as well.

I used to go watch stock car racing in Wimbledon many centuries ago and Tom Hark was a signature tune played while the cars did a pre smash up lap.
